The original concept sheet presented to the Target buyer. Conversations after the fact led the direction of the endcap to become a tighter, more cohesive story, while still representing the two design teams creating it.
Initial sketches for the cards developed by the Core team. The tone had to be cute, but still suitable for an adult sender.
Instruction sheets complete with final layouts, sketches, palettes, finishing information, and cost of goods to be handed over to the artists for new illustrations.

Target Grandparent's Day Endcap

Art Directed the 2013 Target Grandparent's Day endcap. These 18 cards were created with efforts by both the Kids planning team and the Core planning team. Oversaw the development of the palette and the endcap color balance, worked closely with the Kids designers to ensure that two teams were creating differentiated but complimentary designs, and maintained similar price value formulas for the price point offered.
