Dicks Drive In
This project was inspired by observations I made about Seattle institution, Dick’s Drive-In. The main things I noticed are the number of homeless people at the Dick’s counter with change and the number of joke’s you can make about the restaurant’s name.
I re imaged the form of their burger packaging; designing a burger box to replace the paper or foil wrapping. The box can be easily assembled without the use of glue for the convenience of Dick’s employees.
I used the slogan, OK for Dick’s, from the back of the bag. I also retained the color scheme and 1950s design elements from the original packaging but I slightly tweaked the design of the logo and changed the tag line.
