Tea Pot for Men
Project in collaboration with Chris Perron and Dave Van Vliet.
This project won the Presentation Honours Award, ACID National Industrial Design Student Show, 2011
In this project our group developed a product to meet an apparent need in the current market: an explosion in the popularity of specialty tea's among men, but no desirable tea pot designs for men.
Based on extensive research we created a design that combines the ruggedness and tradition of cast iron, with the fragile quality and translucency of glass. The design allows the tea leafs to unfurl freely in the pot, allowing for the best brewing with it's large glass vessel and detachable filter.
