The design ring is like a little museum on your hand. It allows you to insert and exchange a printed image or photo of your choice into its center. The image will be visible as a projection at the sphere of the globe while, due to reflections in the material, the printed strip in the core will remain invisible. This will create an exciting fata-morgana-like effect, where the image seems to appear out of nowhere.
The ring contains 3 parts: 2 metal core parts that fit into each-other and onto which the image will be placed and a clear spherical part inserted in their middle. The form of the spherical part can be variable.
Materials used in the prototype are perspex and silver, but could range from perspex, plastics, glass or crystal for the sphere part to stainless steel, other metals or silver for the core parts, plastics, ceramics or would would be other alternatives.
