The Will of Neptune (Neptune in Pisces)
This is a commission piece I was asked to create, it was a year and a half in the making. The theme of this artwork is Neptune the archetypal personification of the oceans, seas and fresh waters of our earth. In 2012 the planet Neptune entered the astrological sign of Pisces where it remains until 2025. The last time this event occurred was in 1848, a year marked by considerable change.
'Will of Neptune' was painted using the mische technique, a combination of oils and egg tempera on a wood backing.
