Rush Gig Poster

This poster was designed for a screen printing class at Illinois State University in 2008. The class was to create music gig posters in any style they wanted with minimal color use. I chose to create a poster depicting imagery from my favorite band and a show I attended. The snow owl was taken from the cover of their second album, and I wanted to give the poster a 60s-70s gig poster vibe with hand drawn typography. I wanted to replicate the psychedelic and surreal design of those retro posters. The poster was printed using two colors and layers, measures 18" x 24", and 20 copies were made, with a few sold to Rush fans.
