An adjunct professor in the design department purchased a building in a residential neighborhood that had previously been used as a Masonic Temple. It was his hope to do most of the work on the building himself and move in within a year.
He had several program requirements for this one-thousand square foot space. One of which was no full height walls, in order to preserve the existing ceiling height and unique curved molding. ADA requirements had to be taken into consideration as well. He favored an open space plan and his material choices consisted of stainless steel, wood and glass.
