This is a concept for a support webpage for a new product. Customer research showed people had difficulties understanding what ports were on their notebooks. I designed a support page made of image maps that the user could interact with to see more detail on function of various components. I also included the accessories section to make it clear which specific docs, extended batteries or other accessories would work with this particular model. The challenge for the customer when using an autonomic system is that the customer often knows less about the system than he typically would in the 'old' pre-autonomic days. Imagine how difficult diagnosing a complicated problem could be when you are not familiar with the update schedule or what sort of virus protection a system has.
