OST was an exploration to develop a miniature, economical and environmentally friendly alternative Christmas tree for city and small space dwellers. After several versions of refinement the current design was produced using a notched interlocking system. The packaging is less than one-quarter inch thick, making distribution efficient and easy. Upon receiving the tree and opening the custom packaging, the recipient will discover everything is included for easy, tool-less assembly. When the holidays are over the tree can be effortlessly disassembled and stored. When the tree is being used as a stand alone decoration it holds a small battery and LED which create a soft holiday glow. The tree is also light and small enough to be displayed as a beautiful ornament on a full-sized Christmas tree as the owners living situation changes.
