Locomotion is a light installation design which creates surprising and unpredictable effect in a simple way. Light reflections are formed into different meaningful patterns through the movement of mirrors. Locomotion intends to explore more potential effects on reflection motion. By adopting the technique of dispersing and gathering the light reflections on a projection plate, the audience would be able to appreciate light in a different way in comparison to the use of direct light. They would be exposed to the varied presence of light and to experience the control of light reflections with a certain medium. Locomotion provides an interactive way which connects human and light physically, whilst, the light could not be touched or caught by human hands.
