Espresso Machine

I completed this team based project alongside William Elks & Victor Bejan. While our prototype model was only the shell, the way in which it was constructed would have allowed for internal working parts to be inserted in the future.

The entire prototype was made by us, with the help of the RMIT Prototyping workshop. Stained Jarrah was used for the side pieces, while a mix of polished and powder coated stainless steel was used for the frame. The group head housing was CNC lathed out of one block of aluminium, while the feet where CNC milled.

The machine was designed in such a way that it would be easy to take apart and put back together again. Making potential future repairs quite easy.

Completed during my 2nd year of RMIT Industrial Design.
