American Red Cross Brochure
This is a brochure for the American
Red Cross. The main objective was
to create a brochure that reinforces
a concept and communicates a message.
I was also tasked with exploring
typographic hierarchy and multiple
levels of image and type. The vertical
layout I chose was quite the challenge
for me. With multiple bodies of text
to choose from, I chose a topic on
how to be prepared in an emergency
situation. The concept I pulled was
‘be prepared.’ I created a pocket-sized
manual that the user can easily carry
around with them in their back pocket
or handbag. It can also be quickly
taken out, unfolded, and referred to.
The user can easily find what they’re
looking for by scanning through the
different topics, whether it be supplies
needed or what to do in the case of
an evacuation. I chose Helvetica Neue,
a san serif typeface that can easily
be scanned.
