Beach House1 - Situated on a coastal waterway on the Atlantic, the Shore House juts out over a series of canals, on a spit of land made of wooden piles and bulkheads. The house itself is constructed of wooden piles and weathered wood. It "grows" out of the windswept site, using the same materials and building techniques of nearby boardwalks and docks. The salt air, light, and views of the water are all pulled into and through the interior spaces to unite the building with the sand and the sea.
