While working on the residential project, the client’s requirements were strictly kept in mind. The family of 4 is of Kutchi origin and is actively involed in dance and music field. Keeping their interests in mind, the ground floor has the master bedroom and one more bedroom along with a simple living and dining room whereas the first floor has a bedroom along with a music, dance, and entertainment room.
From the 2 bedrooms that I designed, the first one for Kush Shah who is a 19 year old Graphic Designing student, has a theme of Pixelation running in the bedroom. Colorful blocks on wall forming a pixel look along with a custom made lounge chair make the room in sync with the theme without going overboard. The second room which is the parents’ bedroom is based on the Kutchi tradition and hence has a very earthy yet fresh feel to it. Traditional Kutchi Lippan work has been done on the feature wall and is the main focal point of the room.
