Art of Reuse - Leather Collar Neckpiece
Leather jewellery has mostly been associated with the bohemian trend; this piece is an attempt to change this notion and make statement jewellery from leather which is stylish enough for both day and evening wear. Hand-crafted out of scrap leather sourced from a bag-manufacturing company, the emphasis was to make the neckpiece using components of a bag – leather, zippers and press buttons - other waste products that might be generated as a result of strict manufacturing norms. This neckpiece can be worn both sides –textured blue and green on one side and solid black on the other, and can be adjusted to get the perfect fit.
