Art Card (Front) - This was my Art Card for my Senior Show. My show was called [Hid-n] or "Hidden". My piece was an interactive piece that brought up the issue of cliche sayings, and what people really mean when they say them. I took a sarcastic approach to show the humor in what we have been fed all out lives.
Art Card (Back) - This is the back of my Art Card. It has my artist statement, my Thank You's, and my information on when and where the show took place. I wanted to mimic the front, but put a different twist on it.
My Show - This is a collage piece of real images from my show. I had four pillars with four laptops sitting on top. The laptop cameras were on, and when the viewer walked by, they appeared on the screen. When they walked in front of the camera and saw themselves, parts of words appeared, the viewer had to move back and forth to read the hidden message that was displayed on them (on camera).
Four Pillars - These were the Four Cliche Sayings that were put on the pillars. Each saying had a hidden message and they were : Play by the rules- only if you'll win. Always dream big- but be realistic. Women are equal- just not their paychecks. Be who you are- Only if you fit in. This was to bring attention to that people don't always mean what they say.
Guts - This is a screen shot of what took place behind the scenes. This was how my show was able to be interactive and get the words to show up on camera, and masking the words so only when someone was in the right spot, could they read the hidden message. I used a program called Isadora, and it did wonders for my piece.
