Warning Light Project

This BSc project tested our ability to design for manufacture. The brief ensured the product had to have a PCB with a programmable microprocessor that had a sequence programmed into it. The PCB has three LEDs and the sequence must suit the nature of the product.

The product I chose was a Child Warning Light. This involves a device that can easily clip onto a child's clothing, allowing the parents to see their child in dark and/or crowded areas much more easily.

During prototyping, the internal structure of the product also had to be designed. This included any ribs and screw bosses that were necessary to hold the PCB firmly in place.
