Ordway collection 2013 This collection was developed as a modernized version of the pre-existing Target Home Loft collection. The intention was to create a product at that existing retail with improved margin. This was achieved by creating stackable chairs and ottomans that could fit into a smaller box than the Loft which enabled us to combat rising material and labor costs. Patents: D682,574 D687,640

Target Threshold small space patio solutions

In patio furniture our goals were to build out collections in designs that could last 5-10 years on Target.com and be built onto year after year while delivering new and trend-right materials to market. Our other great challenge was to work within existing retail structures and to be able to maintain retails each year as manufacturing and material costs went up.

When developing small space products, they are often KD, stackable, or folding, so hiding those mechanisms and assembly points was key. In some cases we used completely new methods to assemble products, such as in the case of the Meeker stools and the utility patent on their assembly method.
