Kathryn Dekraker

These are some of the pages of an essay I wrote about the work of the contemporary artist, Pae White, which I called "Material Contradictions". In the essay, I argue that much of the artist's work is delightful and compelling because of the thoughtful contradiction that is discovered in her use of materials. I support the effectiveness of this method by representing words and meanings in a similar fashion.
