As a group we decided that the desk should have a storage element. Here i have started to experiment with the different forms, taking inspiration from the materials laminate surface pattern.

Having decided on a shape for the table top, we looked into different designs for the legs. Taking into consideration the need for accessing the desk from both sides, its stack ability and stability.

This is the final scale model of our desk designed for young children. Incorporating fun storage as well as ample work space. The main material is wood as specified by the brief set by Kronospan.

Desk for a young student

As a group we set about answering a D&AD competition brief to design a working table, surface, desk or tablet-like scenario for young students aged between seven and seventeen years old.
