Slither

The curvilinear S-shaped form is derived from the nature at the site.

Intention was to create a recreation space that breaks away from the rectilinear profile of the HDB Housings that we reside in.

Slither is defined into five parts. A wooden flooring foyer receives the users before entering into a compressed volume where there are seats available for resting. A curved transition path connects this space gradually to an open double-volume study/viewing area where users will be able to indulge in the beautiful scenery of the Bedok Reservoir. Users can also progress to the outdoor patio that ends the circulation.
As users transit through the space, the view to the reservoir is at all times obstructed from the users and the scenery will be revealed exclusively at the double volume study area of the space.
