I have a degree in Industrial and Automotive design which informs my paintings, I abstract industrial shapes which evolve into organic abstracts. I consider my work to represent life, taking an object that is manmade and evolving it to the natural, deconstructing the design process. I believe that our environmental conscience for our planet must be engaged with. My initial drawings are based upon design development sketches, currently I'm taking my inspiration from wheels. I use acrylic paints on canvas and play with opposing colours to make them sing with vibrancy, expression and movement. By layering opposing colours in different forms, I also create space and depth within a 2D format.
