The Watermark Hotel is a 4-story building located in Dominican Republic’s north coast. The brief of the project is re-configuring a former apartments building into a condo-hotel.
PROGRAM TO BE DESIGNED:
- ROOF TERRACE
- LOBBY AND FRONT DESK RECEPTION
- ENTRANCE AND PARKING
The intervention aims to offer comfortable indoor-outdoor spaces and high quality materialisation and details, strategically used both to inspire and to serve the users.
A frontal volume is added where the lobby and reception areas are located, as well a wrapping metallic structure around the existing building. The structure creates atmosphere and shadow on the new roof bar + terrace with view to the Carribean Sea.
As Project Architect, I am responsible for the architectural concept and design, detailing and construction guidance.
