Used extensively in the art of Chinese Opera.
Layers of make-up drawn on faces, layers of costumes adorning the performer & even layers of masks for the face changing performer.

STEPS are used to create different heights in each space so as to portray the concept of layers & with the use of the ATRIUM, the flow of 2 combined shophouses is changed.
