Sharing the experience of fun cleaning. For this project my partner and I looked at public spaces and how they are currently cleaned, who leaves the trash, what kind of trash it is etc. We found that the public that visits often leaves their mark (trash) but does not give anything back. So we focused our public space on a Wildlife Conservatory and designed something that the public could use as part of that learning fun environment to give back to that space by cleaning it. We then began the process of designing the Green Patrol, and three person vehicle (small family sized) that is peddle powered and inspired by the animals at the conservatory. This vehicle cleans similarly to a sucker fish, using little hairs (brushes) and suction to vacuum debris as the guests travel through the park.
