This project is a residence for students in the heart of Porto downtown. The site is an existent large urban empty space between the main train station and the cathedral of the city. We were set to design a module for each room and repeat it. The concept of the project is of three main higher volumes, that contain the modular student rooms. There are also two large courtyards between those volumes and a lower volume that encloses the residence public areas. This last volume connects all the spaces to each other as the main link amid them and the main road. The public space is also designed by longitudinal plazas that follow the rhythm of the building connecting roads at different levels, specially the principal road and the cathedral.
