Spider Villa is the first professional project I participated in. It is also one of those in which I left a considerable personal creative footprint. I was pleased to begin the design from its very first stages. It all started with a print of the building site and a blank paper sheet. I was trusted to explore different movements and design a completely new solution, with all the intrinsic freedom needed for this process. After several discussions with the team and major suggestions and improvements done, this is the result. The villa remits to the architectural archetype of the structural wall as the basic composition principal. The theme consists of the design of a conceptual line in the site that begins and ends on its edges establishing a division between the land amid the constructed matter – villa - and the space left - the garden.
