The scope of Urban and Architecture Design, a year masters course I have done at Chalmers, had set the theme for my posterior master thesis: From the Urban to the Detail. Within this exchange program a proposal for an urban plan and architectural project was designed. The site was one of the main areas of Gothenburg’s seafront and this Swedish project became the principal study object of my dissertation. The project stayed at a quite superficial urban stage of development in Sweden, so I proposed myself to redesign it at a deeper level for the thesis, taking it to the next level of detail, afterwards in Porto. The final work to be presented there was meant to be mandatorily theoretical. Yet, due to my own nature, and despite the nearly 300 pages I wrote about the project itself and its premises, I tried to turn the work as practical as possible.
