I was pleased to be invited by a colleague, José Almeida, for a short collaboration with his architectural studio. We participated in a competition for the Council of Mangualde, in Portugal, for the rehabilitation project of its now abandoned Cine-theatre. The project moved forward and is now going to be constructed. My work consisted of the thought, design and model construction processes of the first project conceptual stages. This is a cultural public heritage building and an icon of Portuguese modern architecture, designed by the illustrious architect Francisco Keil do Amaral in 1947-48.
