The floorpan of the restaurant is split into three distinct areas; bar/lounge, dining, and dessert/espresso bar creating an atmosphere where guests are encouraged to move around throughout their meal.
This postcard size menu was designed so that guests could carry it with them throughout the dining room acting as both their menu and their receipt. As guests make their selections the servers punch the item(s) out on the menu and at then end of the meal guests pay.

The reception at Zingaro offers ample space for guests to wait and provides a direct route to the cafe for daytime users.
The dessert & espresso bar was placed at the front of the restaurant to act as a cafe during daytime hours. Reclaimed glass cabinetry and a drop ceiling with a brass rail for hanging plants are the highlights of this space.
The appetizer lounge & bar subtly references gypsy wagons and traveling in caravans. Tables attached to the wall, unique lighting, and a heavily cushioned banquette create a relaxing atmosphere for snacks and drinks.
Communal seating is used to unify guests during their dining experience while the materials and furnishings are a collage of textures and patterns that make the space feel well traveled and collected over time.

Hospitality Design

Zingaro, meaning gypsy in Italian, is a dining experience that sets guests on an adventure. Each portion of the meal takes diners on the next step of thier journey encouraging them to embrace the lifestyle of a gypsy; never settling and knowing that what comes next will alway be better. The tastes along the way will remind you of all your past travels and the places you still yearn to go.

To design an environment fit for a gypsy the restaurant is split into three distinct areas; bar/lounge, dining, and dessert/espresso bar creating an atmosphere where guests are encouraged to move around throughout their meal. Communal seating is used to unify guests during their dining experience while the materials and furnishings are a collage of textures and patterns that make the space feel well traveled and collected over time. Earthy woods, bright metals, and vintage aesthetics give this space the mystery and allure of a bohemian woman that entices guests to explore.
