SonoMist - Wound Cleansing Device @Biounit

SonoMist is a medical device designed to clean inflammatory skin surfaces, such as pressure ulcers and skin wounds. The device operates by using an ultrasonic oscillator within the handpiece to create fine particles of cleaning solution, allowing for a gentle and effective cleansing of the skin. Patients with damaged skin tend to experience pain from even minor stimulation, and the task of filling a syringe with cleaning solution (e.g., saline) and manually applying it can be a highly strenuous process for healthcare professionals. SonoMist connects a cleaning solution through tubing and motorized mechanisms to the handpiece, which then disperses the solution in fine particles, facilitating the process significantly. Currently, SonoMist has passed the technical documentation review for Class II (under Korean regulations) and is undergoing further development for enhanced convenience, with plans for market entry in the near future.
