Design and Engineering Camp
In this one-week program, the students went through an engineering process creating a functional toy organ and speaker system, and a design process prototyping for usability, modeling and printing the final part. Everyone got to go home with a working sound device that they themselves designed and fabricated.
This work took place in a day camp for kids aged 10-13 as part of the STEM Education initiative called Botcamp. All of the programs addressed useful learning opportunities with 3D printers, whether in invention, DIY, or storytelling.
