Product Goal: Create an elite defensive head that is stronger than the competition for check abuse and still retain a lighter weight. Improve ground ball pick up and improve durability.
Solution: Take the three strut sidewall design and optimize it in FEA to find out where the best placement will be and what geometry can be used to increase strength with the least amount of weight. Design the scoop with a rounded nose for decreased drag and reduce weight by making cut aways to protect the top strings (Speed Scoop). The head is slightly more pinched in for a better pocket channel and ball control, and the strike plate on the shoulders is a nod to defensive players letting them know this head was designed to deliver plenty of checks. Aesthetically, the styling of the head is designed to make it feel rugged yet fast. I achieved this aesthetic by taking cues from the hard lines used in stealth designs and the subtle curves of high performance cars.
