3D printed Bee's, Academic research
My role for this project to work with Professor Anne Nobel from the Photography faculty at Massey university on research towards her creative practice. I was tasked with creating digital models from photographs of bee’s taken by Anne to then be 3D printed to create a series of physical models. As well as this I was also asked to conceptualise and prototype display formats and a living bee hive installation.
This research culminated in an installation, which was exhibited in New Zealand and Internationally in 2015 and 2016. Recently in 2017 I worked with Anne again on another series of Bee sculpture as part of a series of exhibitions across New Zealand and Australia.
