In the fall of 2014, the Chicago chapter, formerly the Boring Store, moved into a new location rebranded "The Wicker Park Secret Agent Supply Co." The space was broken up into four experiences: False Front (facade), Get Your Gear (retail), Start Your Adventure (sign-in) and Create Your Story (classroom).
As the 826CHI creative journey begins upon entering the classroom, the space takes each spy on a trip spanning four international locations as they travel through the space. The cities of Paris, Marrakesh, Mexico City and Tokyo are represented in a mural along the south wall as tonal illustrations, paired with a series of quotes from authors and students. The gray mural acts as a backdrop to the brightly colored morse code inspired bookshelves and a series of student quotes bringing life into the to the space. A mural of the elevated CTA tracks is visible as visitors enter the space to celebrate the chapter location.
