Lego Crawler

The goal of this project was to create a prototype of a pyramid crawler that carries a payload and completes the following tasks: (1) ascend an inclined shaft, (2) depress a switch at the end of the shaft, and (3) crawl back down the shaft. To accomplish these tasks, we designed a rear-driven Lego crawler with an adjustable A-shaped frame with wheels touching the sides and the bottom of the ramp. The placement of the wheels was especially important in the completion of this mission. The wheels on the sides of the ramp prevented the crawler from sliding down the ramp and the wheels on the bottom of the ramp provided stability.
