Maarten Residence
Contemporary Prefab - The Maarten home was made using shipping containers as the primary building component. The design concept for this project was, "Plant strong roots; grow with the changing wind, leave no footprint." This concept emphasized strong family values, adaptability, and respect toward the environment. Features that promoted this concept include an open floor plan that promoted family togetherness, storage units that encouraged a zero waste, clutter free environment and furnishings with a closed loop recycling system allowing them to be completely recycled into new generations of objects.
