Found Type Specimen Book - 8” x 6”
Before designing any typefaces, I created a book to help me define what type specimens I was attracted to. I found the lettering in vintage crafting and sewing advertisements to be the most appealing. While most of the book is composed of a collection of found type, I also built upon the vintage craft vernacular and constructed letter studies utilizing a needle and thread to recontextualize the found type.
