Brief - To design and make a bath toy for a child between the ages of 2-3 years. Description - This octopus bath toy has a simple, fill up and pour out feature. Injection moulded into four components and sonic welded together for a water tight seal, the water can only enter through the mouth and pour out through the tentacles.

I produced a 1:1 scale model using a set of GA drawings which I created using Solidworks. The model was then made using MDF shaped to the exact dimensions required and later vacuum formed over using HIPS. Once these four components had been bonded together, I spray painted the features on leaving the finished prototype in the top right corner.
