The Assistive Dementia Product has been designed to act as a planner system, guiding the user throughout their day, supporting a structured daily routine. This is achieved with the use of an interactive hub product and prompt screen(s), these inform the user of their daily schedule, and approaching tasks. Each tasks, when completed, is 'checked in' to produce an activity log which is made available to carers and family members via a website and phone app.The website and mobile app additionally allow for further messages and tasks to be sent to the user throughout the day, allowing for remote care and monitoring.
When away from the home the key fob provides support with the use of GPS tracking, fall detecting accelerometer and mobile calling to provide emergency assistance. The provision of which helps relieve the user’s personal concerns and those of their family members, in turn encouraging further independent activity.
