View of Unit 2 - While this wasn't techinically a design project, I feel it's worth including since it was a rather large piece of work. While interning at Arizona Public Services in Phoenix, my project was to re-examine and re-label nearly every valve at a seven unit power plant. Creativity was needed simply to decide how to begin and to develop a system to methodically work down every pipe in the plant.
Solar Fruit Dryer - This is a project I worked on for Engineers Without Borders, a non-profit organization devoted to creating sustainable design for the developing world. It is a great organization that I encourage all of you to check out. I was co-design lead with Tom Cooper, and we built a series of four solar dryers throughout northern Belize. The one pictured above was constructed and installed at King's College boarding school, halfway between Orange Walk and Belize City in April 2010.
