Godspell - Certainly one of my favorite outlets of creativity is music and theatre. Above is a promo shot from the 2008 Morningside College production of Godspell with yours truly standing tall in the center. It is one of the greatest experiences to work with an ensemble. It is similar to working as a team in many ways, but the connections have to be a bit deeper to truly carry a performance.
DJ - Now that life is a little more hectic and there isn't as much time to devote to things like theatre, I found an excellent way to keep performing and expressing myself creatively is to DJ for wedding and school events. It is such a thrill to be able to read a crowd, respond to their wants and needs before they know them, bringing them up and letting them down slowly before ramping back up again. You need to know how to listen to music to create smooth mixes. It's a ton of fun!
