Beak: Carbon Monoxide Detector

> Brief based on designing a Carbon Monoxide Detector using product semantics. The aesthetics of my product were based on mining canaries, the original CO detectors.

> I distilled the features of the canary’s face and beak into a minimalist design, which would work in any interior environment, using the sound gratings to balance out the design and to help reinforce the audial aspect of the product.

> The product was designed with snap fittings and is easy to install onto a wall. The integrated LED’s provide a very obvious and visual warning for an invisible danger. To further enforce the Canary semantics, the product would chirp when tested to indicate that all systems are working as normal.

> Modelled in PTC Creo and rendered in Autodesk 3ds Max.
