Hive Security Camera

Hive is the world’s first ultra-long life, battery-powered, completely cordless Wi-Fi security camera. Hive is easily installed, runs on your existing Wi-Fi network, and is controlled through your mobile device. When the armed camera senses motion, it sends encrypted video to the Hive cloud and notifies your community via SMS, push, email, voice, Facebook and Twitter. Your Hive community then uses our mobile and web apps to respond to the alert appropriately.
My role in this project included concept generation, design detailing + 3D CAD, 2D engineering drawings, prototype creation/ assembly/ testing and correspondence with manufacturers.
