This stop blocks auxiliary views show the true shape of the features in order to dimension them correctly.
Using break-out sections allows for dimensioning to features that would of been otherwise hidden.
Dimensioning the cross section of this dash pot lifter can be done with a revolved section. A revolved section rotates the profile to show true shape.
Additional geometric tolerances increase the reliability that the machined parts will be interchangeable in a mass production environment.
Details help to dimension features on a part at a different scale to help readability. Adding positional tolerances with datum's to a part creates a larger tolerance zone.
