"La Revolución"
Creating a deck of cards based on a historical event. The event being the Mexican Revolution. Faces were chosen by the roles the individuals played in the revolution and the significance of their actions. Porfirio Díaz as the king (Dictator) Emiliano Zapata as a game changer the ace. and a soldadera as the queen because with out them the revolution could not have been possible too. Number cars were selected as weapons used in the revolution from guns to gardening equipment. The box was created as a wood block style carving to help illustrate the art of that era, although the cards look modern I felt it would be nice to give the box a grainy texture to illustrate a bit of the time period.
