Though it is obvious that there is a problem with traffic lights and color blindness, especially concerning Protanopia and Deuteranopia, every color blind individual basically said the same thing - bottom means go and top means stop.

As you can see, it is difficult to distinguish which light is currently lit, exacerbated no less by distance, speed, scrutiny, or other impairing circumstances.

The classic solution is to create shapes, arrows not included.
