Pure Running Footwear - Pure is meant to foster good biomechanical running. That is, the foot knows what its doing if it is allowed to do it. This is a sort of reaction against running shoes that control the foot with gimmickry and gadgetry. This footwear is meant to protect the foot without restricting natural motion and flex in the foot. TPU and an actively breathable neoprene were chosen for their performance and comfort characteristics. The color imagery above was modeled and rendered in Maya.

The form is constructed from equal-width strips of styrene. The flow comes from the quasi-structure of improvised jazz.
