Logo Submission for Private Bilingual School

The tree form is representative of the trees one would see up on the mountain in and surrounding the ALP campus (in Honduras). The graphic shapes on either side of the tree illude to the idea of the praying hands from the previous logo. However, they also give room for growth and are left open, as if ready to receive blessings from heaven, all the while encompassing the tree to represent the trust that ALP has in its Creator. In addition, the bottom of the “hands” come together to form a hill, which the tree sits atop. This is to represent the idea that Academia Los Pinares is a “city on a hill” and the hope that it will be a beacon of light to the city of Tegucigalpa and the country of Honduras as a whole. The font, Futura, was chosen because it is clean, easy to read and its pointed letters mimic the pointed ends of the “hands” in the logo.
