I used this photo of meat on the right side of my face. I warped it to fit my face, lowered the opacity, blended the edges with an eraser tool, and put the darken layer style on it.
I used the leaves on the ground for a texture on the left side of my face. I cropped out the leaves and warped them to fit onto my face. Then I lowered the opacity, blended the edges with the eraser tool, and put the hard light layer style onto it.
I used this photo of straw on my nose. I warped the cropped photo to fit my nose, lowered the opacity, and then blended the edges with an eraser tool.
I used this photo of mossy wood to cover my neck. I warped the image to fit my neck, lowered the opacity, blended the edges to fit my neck better, and added the overlay layer style to the image.

In this zombie project i used the burn and dodge tool, eraser tool, magic wand tool, quick selection tool, and the paint bucket tool. I applied different layer styles to my textures and added some exposure to my image to make my skin look more gray and dead.
